Chan joins Axa IM's emerging markets team

Gary Chan has joined Axa Investment Managers as a portfolio manager within Julian Thompson's Axa Framlington emerging markets team.

Chan, based in London, is responsible for covering China and the financials sector. He joins from Charlemagne Capital where he was emerging markets analyst looking at the financial sector in Asian emerging markets. Prior to his stint at Charlemagne, he held roles at Ernst & Young in Hong Kong and London and Shanghai Commercial Bank and KPMG, both in Hong Kong. In his new role, he will report to Thompson, who is head of global emerging markets at Axa Framlington, the firm's qualitative equities brand.
